FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2006 Nebraska tourism publications available LINCOLN, NEB. (Jan. 6, 2006) — Free copies of the 2006 Nebraska Travel Guide and 2006 Nebraska Festivals Guide are available from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division. The publications include hundreds of attractions, festivals, lodging facilities and outdoor outfitters in order to help you plan your next great adventure throughout Nebraska. “We’re confident that travelers will be impressed with the variety of attractions and events that Nebraska has to offer, be it for a day, a weekend, or an extended stay,” said Dan Curran, Travel and Tourism Division director. “This year the Division will expand its efforts to promote two of the fastest growing trends in tourism, those being agri-tourism and eco-tourism.” The cover of the 160-page, four-color 2006 Nebraska Travel Guide features hikers at Lake McConaughy near Ogallala, North Platte’s 20th Century Veteran’s Memorial, July Jamm in Lincoln, Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City, Bridgeport’s Courthouse and Jail Rock Golf Course, and Soaring Wings Vineyard near Springfield. The 60-page 2006 Nebraska Festivals Guide lists hundreds of festivals across the state.
