FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEBRASKAland DAYS receives top honorLINCOLN, NEB. (Jan. 24, 2006) - The American Bus Association has released its annual Top 100 Events in North America. This year NEBRASKAland DAYS, held in North Platte, was named on this prestigious list. NEBRASKAland DAYS, in existence for more than four decades, honors Nebraska's rich western heritage. From June 10-18 and 22-24, 2006, thousands of people from around the country will descend on North Platte to attend this unique festival. The week is filled with concerts, parades and an unforgettable rodeo. Top professional cowboys and cowgirls migrate here each year to test their skills in action-packed events including bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and back this year--team roping! Set in one of the best outdoor venues in the nation, this is professional rodeo action at its finest. The American Bus Association, the leading trade organization for the motorcoach group travel industry, selects events from among hundreds of nominations by state and provincial tourism officials and convention and visitors associations from across North America. A panel of U.S. and Canadian travel professionals bases its selections on the events' broad appeal, their accessibility to large groups arriving by motorcoach, and a variety of other criteria.
