Application deadline extended for Value-Added Agriculture Grant programLINCOLN, NEB. (March 20, 2006)-Application deadline for the first round of Value-Added Ag Grants has been extended to 12:00 p.m. (CDT), Thursday, April 27, 2006. Capital expenditures are now grant-eligible items. If you have already submitted an application, you will be receiving a letter in the mail. These first round grants will be awarded no later than June 30, 2006. A second round of Value-Added Ag Grants will take place in late summer, with an August 9, 2006 deadline. Prior to this round, application workshops will be held in several locations throughout Nebraska: April 13 in Grand Island, April 25 in Gering, May 2 in Norfolk, and May 10 in Lincoln with statewide teleconferencing locations. The Value-Added Ag Grants are administered by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
