Resource directories available to help fund development projectsLINCOLN, NEB. (April 19, 2006)—The 2006 Foundation Resource and Nebraska Resource Directories are now available and ready to help you match the right funding sources with your next community and economic development projects. The Foundation Resource Directory lists more than 40 foundations along with detailed descriptions and required guidelines for qualifying for funding. The directory contains additional information about the application process and purpose of each foundation, and contact information. This directory is an excellent tool for people interested in funding community improvement, economic development, and/or non-profit organizational expansion projects. The Nebraska Resource Directory describes state and federal level funding resources available to communities and community coalitions that are particularly useful in launching economic or community development improvement projects and programs. The directory was developed by the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; 4-H Cooperative Extension; Nebraska Health and Human Services System, Office of Community Support; Nebraska Community Improvement Program (NCIP); and Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED). The directories are produced by NCIP, DED, and the USDA Rural Community Development Initiative. NCIP is a partnership between DED, the University of Nebraska, and NCIP sponsors.
