(July 10, 2006)—Training sessions on the Nebraska Community Improvement Program awards nomination process will be held statewide the weeks of July 24 and July 31 as follows: • July 24, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. MT—Alliance, Box Butte General Hospital, Hyannis Room • July 25, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. MT—Sidney, Western Community College • July 26, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT—McCook, McCook Community College • July 27, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT—Eustis, Frontier County Fair Building • July 27, 3-4:30 p.m. CT—Gothenburg, Public Library, Community Room • July 28, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT—Blue Hill, Community Center • July 31, Noon-1:30 p.m. CT—St. Paul, City Library, Community Room • July 31, 4-5:30 p.m. CT—Burwell, TierOne Bank • August 1, 4-5:30 p.m. CT—Bassett, Bassett Lodge • August 2, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT—Hartington, Public Library • August 3, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT—South Sioux City, City Hall • August 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. CT—Wisner, Community Development office • August 7, 10-11:30 a.m. CT—Wahoo, Location to be determined • August 8, 10-11:30 a.m. CT—Beatrice, Chamber office • August 8, 1-2:30 p.m. CT—Pawnee City, Union Bank & Trust • August 11, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CT—Nebraska City, Otoe County Bank and Trust • August 14, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. CT—Seward, Civic Center Training sites with no registrants will be canceled or relocated. Currently locations with no confirmed registrants include McCook, Gothenburg, Burwell, Bassett, Hartington, Beatrice, Pawnee City, Wahoo and Seward. The deadline for NCIP Intent to Enter and Government Resolution forms has been extended to August 15. Communities wanting to participate in NCIP must submit both Intent to Enter, and Government Resolution forms. The deadline for NCIP nominations is September 5.
