Improved business quality topic of upcoming workshopLINCOLN, NEB. (July 10, 2006)— The Edgerton Quality Award program is hosting an application workshop in Lincoln and Kearney for business owners and executives interested in improving the overall performance and quality of their companies. The workshop is geared for all types of businesses, manufacturers, health, education, service and nonprofit organizations. The workshop will be held: Friday, July 28, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at The Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, 1135 M St., Ste. 200 Friday, August 4, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at The Development Council, Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, 1007 Second Ave. Previous Edgerton Award applicants and Baldrige examiners will introduce criteria from the Baldrige National Quality Award program (on which the Edgerton Award program is closely patterned). Edgerton Award recipients will share the application process as it relates to their own company’s or organizations’ perspective. Attendees also will learn how to respond to the process and results criteria, and how to prepare for a site visit.
