The Danter Company

General Information: The Danter Company is one of the nation's oldest and most respected real estate research firms having completed over 16,000 market feasibility studies in all 50 states, Canada, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.

Housing related studies (tax credit and market rate multifamily, single-family and condominium) account for about two-thirds of our assignments.

Our process begins where it all happens: the marketplace. There is no substitution for being there. Our combination of primary site-specific research with proprietary research into market trends had led us to pioneer significant market evaluation methodologies, particularly the use of the 100% Data Base (not just selected comparables) for all market analyses.

Nebraska Community Foundation

Main Services Provided: The focus is on "Rural Development Strategies That Work". Included in the strategies are the development of residential communities, retirement communities, small businesses, information age businesses, youth retention, and more. There is no single strategy that will work for all rural communities but the Residential Community Strategy is one of the most overlooked and deserves serious consideration by many of Nebraska's rural towns. This approach keys on recruiting new residents who work within commuting distance to small towns (one-third of all Nebraska rural towns are within commuting distance of a job center community). It involves the development of new single family housing and marketing those homes and the small town quality of life to potential commuters. With the growth in single-family new home ownership comes immediate new jobs in the construction industry, growth in retail sales, expansion of local property tax base, more students in the school system, more members in the churches, and new service businesses.

Clients of the Organization: Primarily small towns with a desire to develop more single-family housing.
