The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) will conduct a public comment period August 20 – September 7, 2010, to take remarks of citizens and local government officials regarding the Nebraska Consolidated Plan’s Proposed 2009 Annual Performance Report (APR).

This document allows public review and comment on accomplishments during the 2009 program year (July 1, 2009- June 30, 2010), including but not limited to:

1.    The Department’s performance of community and economic development, planning, housing, homeless, and special needs objectives; and
2.    The distribution and use of approximately $12 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $5 million HOME Investment Partnership funds, $600,000 Emergency Shelter Grant funds, $300,000 Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS funds, $1.6 million Homeless Shelter Assistance Trust Funds, and $9 million Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds, including the amounts used for activities benefiting persons of low-and moderate-income.
