Meeting Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Economic Development Commission will hold a regular, public meeting on March 2, 2010 at the Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South Lincoln, NE  68509-4666.

The agenda for the meeting is available for public inspection at the offices of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED).  Persons wishing to examine the agenda should contact the DED employee cited at the end of this notice.

Individuals requiring physical and sensory accommodations to participate in the meeting, including interpreter services, Braille, large print or recorded materials, should contact Lori Cole no later than February 26, 2010, the DED employee cited at the end of this notice.

Notice of Public Comment Period

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) will conduct two public videoconferences on the Proposed 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan & Proposed 2010 Annual Action Plan which concerns the distribution of approximately $12 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $5 million in HOME program funds, $600,000 in Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESG) funds, and $300,000 in Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (authorized under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended); and $1.5 million in Homeless Shelter Assistance Trust Funds (HSATF), and $9 million in Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds (NAHTF). The plans describe national and state objectives, application schedules, eligible activities, and selection criteria for projects.
