Give the gift that says “Nebraska” (December 21, 2006) PDF Print E-mail

LINCOLN, NEB. (December 21, 2006)—If you’re searching for the perfect last minute gift, look no further than B&R Stores in partnership with GROW Nebraska.

All Russ’s IGA and Supersaver stores are featuring eight unique gift baskets ranging in sizes and prices and filled with quality GROW Nebraska food products, including salsa, barbeque sauce, spices, coffee, toffee, mustard, jelly, popcorn, and pickled asparagus.

According to B&R Production Director Randy Bohaty, the gift baskets have been wildly popular throughout their five-week availability. “Various store locations have had to call other branches to get the specific baskets our customers want,” Bohaty said.

James Gustufson, GROW Nebraska Gift Basket Coordinator, first approached B&R Stores about the potential partnership this past August. Bohaty thought the partnership was appealing for several reasons.

“We always try to support local producers and businesses, and we are pleased to offer something different that our competitors don’t have,” he said.

GROW Nebraska CEO and Founder Janell Anderson Ehrke said, “We’ve been very pleased to be able to offer the gift baskets through such a major retail venue. GROW Nebraska’s goal is to provide our members with exposure to new marketing platforms, and working with B&R Stores has certainly done that.”

Gift baskets and Nebraska-made products also are available at GROW Nebraska Christmas Stores located in Omaha’s Oakview Mall, Lincoln’s Westgate Shoppingtown, Grand Island’s Conestoga Mall, and Kearney’s Hilltop Mall, and at HyVee stores in Lincoln and Scheels All Sports Super Store in Omaha
