Valley County Economic Development (Nancy Glaubke (308) 728-7875) has a Resource Team that meets with new or possible business owners—professionals who give an hour or two of pro bono work to help someone with initial questions on taxes, legal, accounting issues. They also are tied into Hometown Competitiveness and entrepreneurship training in the grade schools, and have been featured as one of our showcase communities in 2005 or 2006 where there was a list of these activities.
