LINCOLN, NEB. (June 19, 2007)—The Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division is now accepting applications for $500,000 in Tourism Advantage Matching Grants to be awarded October 1. The deadline to apply is August 31.
Individual grants ranging from $2,000 to $50,000 will be awarded to area and regional tourism promotional groups to undertake advertising, marketing and promotional activities, including mass media advertising, Web site development, travel literature production and printing, and travel, trade and sports shows registration fees, to name a few. Recipients will be required to provide matching funds at least equal to the grant amount they are awarded for their activities.
