Still time to register Rural Development Commission offers grant workshops (June 27) PDF Print E-mail

    LINCOLN, NEB. (June 27, 2007)—People interested in changes made to the Agricultural Innovation and Value-Added Partnership Act and Building Entrepreneurial Communities Act, or planning to apply for upcoming grant cycles need to register for an upcoming free workshop offered in July in Lincoln, or telecast to up to 13 sites statewide.

The onsite workshop will take place in Lincoln, July 17, 3:30- 5:30 p.m. CDT, at Nebraska Educational Telecommunications, 1800 33rd St., Board Room 132.

The following cities will host the workshop via satellite on July 17 (3:30-5:30 p.m. CDT). Sites not receiving at least two reservations will be cancelled:

  • Ainsworth-Public Library, 5th and Main Sts.
  • Alliance-Alliance Learning Center, 1750 Sweetwater St., Room 123
  • Beatrice-Beatrice State Development Center, 3000 Lincoln Blvd., Medical Center Conference Room #2
  • Chadron-Chadron State College, 10th and Main Sts., Student Center, Scottsbluff Room
  • Columbus-Public Library, 2504 14th St., Columbus Room, Second Floor
  • Grand Island -College Park, 3180 W. Hwy 34, Conference Room AHEC
  • Hastings-Public Library, 517 W. 4th St., Second Floor
  • Kearney-Public Library, 2020 First Ave., Second Floor
  • Lincoln-Nebraska Educational Telecommunications, 1800 N. 33rd St., Board Room 132
  • McCook-McCook Community College, McMillen Hall, 1205 E. 3rd St., Room 208
  • Norfolk-Northeast Community College, 801 E. Benjamin Ave., Maclay Building, Room 122
  • Omaha-State Office Building, 1313 Farnam St., Room 207
  • O’Neill-Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital, 2nd and Adams Sts., Conference Room, Lower Level
  • Scottsbluff-Panhandle Learning Center, 4502 Avenue I, High Plains Room
  • Valentine-Cherry County Extension Office, 132 S. Hall St.
  • Wayne-Wayne State College, 1111 Main St., Gardner Hall, Room 105

The workshops are sponsored by the Nebraska Rural Development Commission and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.

The registration deadline is July 10 for the Lincoln workshop and satellite locations.
