Celebrate Earth Day at Spring Creek Prairie (April 8) PDF Print E-mail

LINCOLN, NEB. (April 8, 2005)--The public is invited to experience the prairie on Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 10 a.m., at the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center near Denton, Neb.

Poet Twyla Hansen will read her work celebrating the prairie's beauty, and Kathie O'Brian, a prairie conservationist, will participate in a ceremony marking the construction of an education building at Spring Creek Prairie. The building will be constructed from straw and prairie hay bales harvested at the site.
