LINCOLN, NEB. (June 14, 2005)--School is out and family vacations are being planned across Nebraska. As you embark on your journey, don't forget to use the 28 state-of-the-art information kiosks located across the state. The N-View system is one of the first of its kind in the nation to combine travel and weather information on each machine. Hundreds of thousands of pages have been accessed by visitors since N-View was launched in 2004.
Travelers can explore various routes while reviewing information about tourism attractions, events, and accommodations across the state, thereby potentially boosting tourism dollars spent in Nebraska.
The weather information on each system is provided via satellite from the National Weather Service and displayed on weather maps and charts. The touch-screen kiosks are computer-based and are deisgned to deliver information to the user in the form of video graphics or on-screen text.
