LINCOLN, NEB. (Aug. 17, 2005)—From August 22-September 6, citizens and local government officials will have an opportunity to publicly comment on the Nebraska Consolidated Plan’s 2004 Proposed Annual Performance Report (APR), produced by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED).
The following 2004 program year activities (July 1, 2004-June 30, 2005) are available for public comment:
1. The department’s performance and achievement levels on community development, economic development, planning, housing and homeless objectives;
2. The distribution and use of approximately $14.4 million in Community Development Block Grant, $6 million HOME, and $528,000 Emergency Shelter Grant funds, $1.6 million in Homeless Shelter Assistance Trust Funds, and $4.7 million in Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds, including the amounts used for activities benefiting persons of low and moderate income; and
3. The state’s performance in minimizing displaced people as it related to CDBG activities that were undertaken, and assistance offered to persons displaced because of such activities.
