Tourism conference in Grand Island (October 3) PDF Print E-mail

LINCOLN, NEB. (October 3, 2005)--The 30th Annual Nebraska Travel Conference will be held in Grand Island, October 19-20, at the Midtown Holiday Inn. Anyone interested in learning more about tourism, Nebraska's third-leading industry, is encouraged to register and attend. The conference will culminate with a banquet featuring Governor Dave Heineman honoring the winners of statewide tourism awards for excellence.

Conference attendees will learn about the RV niche market, communication styles that increase effectiveness, tourism trends, Nebraska Tourism marketing updates, and how to achieve higher levels of professionalism within the tourism industry.

The travel conference is organized by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development's Travel and Tourism Division, and hosted by the city of Grand Island.
