In a July 18, 2007 letter to the Board of Directors, Aurora Area Chamber & Development Corporation executive director Eddie Ranson announced her resignation effective August 17, 2007.  Ranson, who joined AACD in October, 2003, is leaving her post to take advantage of family interests and recreational activities.

Regarding her tenure with AACD, Ranson said, “It has been a true privilege and pleasure to work with the people of Hamilton County.  The decades-long history of volunteerism, leadership and participation in community development practiced by our citizens have resulted in making the area a progressive place to live, work and conduct business.  AACD has become a very strong organization since its inception six years ago.  I am confident it will continue to play an important role in economic development and in our wonderful quality of life.”

AACD directors have launched a search for Ranson’s replacement and hope to fill the position in the near future.   A job description is online at AACD’s website www.auroranebraska.com.
