American Bus Association names event in its top 100 of 2008
LINCOLN, NEB. (Sept. 6, 2007)—The American Bus Association has named Nebraska City’s annual Arbor Day celebration as one of its top 100 events in North America for 2008.
The American Bus Association’s (ABA) list has become one of the most sought-after lists by travel professionals, motorcoach operators and the public. The list highlights the top fairs, festivals, parades, exhibits, theater and shows across the U.S. and Canada.
Now in its 135th year, Nebraska City’s Arbor Day celebration is a three-day weekend devoted to tree planting. The many activities include a 5k run & walk, hayrack rides, a craft show, an Arbor Day barbeque, tours of Arbor Lodge State Historical Park, home of J. Sterling Morton, and visits to Arbor Day Farm.
The 2008 Top 100 Events in North America is published as a supplement to the September/October issue of Destinations magazine. Event descriptions and contact information are included in the publication. In addition, the entire Top 100 list and specific event information are listed on the ABA’s web site at www.buses.org
