Community Development Block Grant application process is focus of January workshop in Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney and Gering
LINCOLN, NEB. (January 7, 2008)—A free workshop detailing the application process for 2008 Community Development Block Grant funding in the categories of public works, water/wastewater, planning, downtown revitalization, comprehensive revitalization, and/or tourism development will be offered in several cities throughout January, based on interest. Local government officials and their staff are encouraged to attend.
Staff from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development will offer the workshop:
•January 15, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (CT), Lincoln, Southeast Community College, 8800 “O” St., Room U-102
•January 17, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (CT), Norfolk, Lifelong Learning Center, 801 E. Benjamin Ave.
•January 22, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (CT), Kearney, University of Nebraska Student Union,1013 W. 27th St. (parking passes are available for registrants on first-come, first- serve basis).
•January 23, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (MT), Gering, Civic Center, 1050 M St.
To gauge the number of prospective attendees, registration is encouraged by January 11. A lack of registrants may result in cancellation of the workshop in any given location.
