Several companies are receiving awards during the Nebraska Diplomats Business and Industry Recognition Day, Monday, May 5, at Heartland Events Center, Bosselman Conference Center, 700 East Stolley Park Road in Grand Island.

• 11:30 a.m.— Welcome and remarks from Lt. Governor Rick Sheehy
  
• Noon—Nebraska Diplomats President Tim White will present companies in Grand Island with President’s Business Awards recognizing outstanding economic and corporate citizen contributions to the community and state.
  
• 12:10 p.m.—Lt. Governor Sheehy will present a Bellevue organization and Omaha company with Edgerton Quality Awards, showcasing their journey to achieving organizational quality. He also will recognize the state’s newest Economic Development Certified Community.
