STAPLETON, NEB. (September 23, 2008)—Anyone who’s interested in the future of local or regional development throughout the Sandhills will want to attend the Sandhills Summit—the first of a “Listen and Learn” meeting series scheduled October 14, 7 to 9 p.m. at Stapleton Public School’s Bronco Room. The meeting is free and no registration is required.

Local participants and area service providers will be encouraged to exchange information about development needs and available programs. Information also will be available about the upcoming Governor’s Conference on Rural Development, November 14, in Kearney.

The “Listen and Learn” meetings, which are being held statewide, are co-sponsored by the Partnership for Rural Nebraska, the Nebraska Rural Development Commission, and the Rural Initiative.
