Learn how to harness technology to entice the modern traveler
LINCOLN, NEB. (Oct. 8, 2008)— Audio podcasts can be an effective and inexpensive way to share information about your organization, attraction, or event. Discover the basics and learn how to write, produce, and post your creation. If you’re ready to put technology to work, be sure to attend the Podcasting Essentials session at this year’s Nebraska Travel Conference.

Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m., Snitily Carr’s Quentin Farley, director of Broadcast Services and Connie Van Nostrand, director of Creative Services  will address the ins and outs of audio podcasting. Most of us have heard of podcasts, and some of us subscribe to them regularly. But a good number of us have no idea how to create one. Attend this session and learn what a podcast is and what it can do for your business or organization. Discover how podcasts are being used and what tools you need to produce one. From scripting and recording to editing and distribution, we’ll cover everything you need to produce your own audio podcast.

It’s time to put technology to work. Communicate with your Byway members. Share news about your event or attraction. Keep your team up-to-date on the latest trends in your industry. Enhance collaboration with small groups. Publish a podcast and get the conversation started.

The Nebraska Travel Conference will take place at the Kearney Ramada Inn and Conference Center, 301 S. 2nd Ave., October 21-23.

The conference includes educational workshops, general sessions and networking opportunities, as well as travel industry exhibitor booths displaying essential new products. Attendees can also participate in the Nebraska Travel Association’s Silent Auction, a fundraiser that will benefit tourism activities throughout Nebraska.
