Get the information essential to the Nebraska tourism industry
LINCOLN, NEB. (Oct. 8, 2008)—Each year, a portion of the Nebraska Travel Conference is set aside to let the industry hear about the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division’s plans for the next year. This year’s conference, to be held in Kearney, is no exception.
Look for sessions updating the industry of the Division’s Travel and Tourism Research, new industry statistics and the Division’s 2009 media buys.
This year, also plan to attend a session on grants only. Division staff Ann Bierbower, Tom Doering and Micheal Collins will educate during the session “Nebraska Grants Update.” Topics include how to write an effective grant, how to receive grant reimbursement, the dos and don’ts of grant writing and many other hot topics.
The Nebraska Travel Conference will take place at the Kearney Ramada Inn and Conference Center, 301 S. 2nd Ave., October 21-23.
The conference includes educational workshops, general sessions and networking opportunities, as well as travel industry exhibitor booths displaying essential new products. Attendees can also participate in the Nebraska Travel Association’s Silent Auction, a fundraiser that will benefit tourism activities throughout Nebraska.
