Community Improvement Program
NCIP recognizes the leadership, community and economic development efforts of Nebraska's communities and multi-communities. These communities organize to plan their future, set goals, determine priorities and implement project action plans.

Tourism Marketing Grants

•  2006–2007 Tourism Matching Grant Application
  Helps existing tourist attractions promote themselves through dollar-for-dollar matching grants that can be used to create new advertising, marketing and other promotional efforts. The department offers $500,000 each year, and grants are awarded in amounts from $5,000 to $50,000.

• 2005–2006 Nebraska Tourism Marketing Grant Program
  These grants help Nebraska communities develop new tourist attractions and create marketing materials and Web sites to promote state destinations, among other initiatives. With $125,000 available annually, applicants may receive from $2,000 to $10,000.

• 2005–2006 Tourism Marketing Grants
  Thirty-one organizations received Tourism Marketing Grants in 2005-06, totaling more than $136,000, to help promote local events. The money was to be used for a number of initiatives: Web sites, promotion of regional celebrations, trade shows and advertising, among other things.
  

• Tourism Development Initiative (TDI) Grant Guidelines
  Tourism Development Initiative Grants are available to towns with fewer than 50,000 people and are aimed at helping with the development of a more specific set of attractions: historic restorations, educational facilities, sports facilities, convention centers and cultural and heritage sites. The project must also show that at least 51 percent of the visitors to the site are low to moderate income persons.
  

• Local Civic, Cultural, and Convention Center Financing Fund - 2006 Annual Report
  The 2006 Annual Report on Grants contains a list of projects that received grants from the Department of Economic Development from the Local Civic, Cultural, and Convention Center Financing Fund since the fund’s inception. Grants were last awarded in fiscal year 2004-05.
