Nebraska Advantage
This package rewards micro, small and large businesses investing in the state and hiring Nebraskans with varying credits based on each individual project. The goal is to make Nebraska the preferred location for business start-ups and expansions.

Nebraska Job Training
Eligible businesses may qualify for customized job training assistance to help ensure that its workforce is prepared to meet the challenges of rapidly changing technologies and industries.

Tax Increment Financing (TIF)

The TIF process uses revenue generated through increased property taxes to finance public costs associated with private development projects in blighted or substandard areas of a community.  

Nebraska Microenterprise Development Act
Through this Act, micro programs help provide services, and loans up to $35,000 to start and grow micro businesses (four or fewer employees). Micro businesses comprise 85 percent of all businesses in Nebraska.
 
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The federally-funded CDBG program awards loans to qualifying communties for costs related to building or expanding facilities, purchasing land, machinery and equipment, and for working capital. New or expanding businesses that require infrastructure (streets, water/wastewater systems, etc.) as part of a project also can apply and be considered for a grant.

LB 840—The Local Option Municipal Economic Development Act
LB840 authorizes incorporated villages and cities to appropriate increased funding via local sales or property taxes that has been approved by voters for economic or industrial development projects or programs.
