LINCOLN, NEB. (Feb. 14, 2012)—The featured stops for the 2012 Nebraska Passport have been selected.

This year the Passport program has expanded to 80 stops organized into 10 special interest tours: culinary, culture, family fun, festivals, golf, GROW Nebraska, parks, unique accommodations, water adventure and wineries.

FEBRUARY 7, 2012 (LINCOLN, NEB.)—The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has awarded $243,386 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to the Village of Bee to update components of its water system.

FEBRUARY 3, 2012 (LINCOLN, NEB.)—The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) today awarded $505,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to the City of Hartington to help TrailManor Manufacturing Company, LLC, start up a manufacturing facility. The production process includes the design, manufacture, assembly and laminate of light weight recreational travel trailers. The project will create 20 full-time jobs, of which 51 percent will be made available to low- and moderate-income persons.

FEBRUARY 2, 2012 (LINCOLN, NEB.)—The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) is accepting nominations through March 20 for the 2012 Showcase Community Awards. Up to three communities may ultimately be designated Showcase Communities.
